What was the highlight of Frich's Hotell og Spiseri Alvdal
Avoid if possible.
The beds where ok, a bit hard, but not the worst. Easy access to the rooms, lots of charging stations outside if needed. Short trip the the store, and you will shop there mostly because of the insane prices the the motel.
It was a hot summer day, the room did not have any ventilation to speak of, one of the two windows could not be opened, and the one that did only opened a sliver. The bathroom floor heating was on and so hot it burned under the legs. The temperature was 26 degrees celcius when we went to sleep. We almost did not sleep at all. No help or other room to change to when contacting the reception. Also the rooms are not the best soundproofed, so if you are a light sleeper this might be a problem. The food are also terrible, just heated bought inn food mostly. Prices are ridiculous. One bottle of water cost 60kr!!!!!

Wonderful
Good location on Rv3, 24 hours check-in, nice breakfast. Large room. You can get a glass of beer or wine even if you arrive very late.
Same-day reservations from booking.com still seem to be a problem, it took a few minutes to sort out.

Pleasant
The room was big and we were allowed to bring our dog.
It was freezing. We had the radiator up full in the room but I still had to get up in the middle of the night and put on a jumper. The breakfast room was also freezing, we ate breakfast in our coats. The breakfast was also poor. None of the food was warm and the boiled eggs had gone a weird black/brown colour.
